As we approach the winter holidays, we are grateful for the wonderful Cunniff community. Thanks to the support from families like yours, so far this year the PTO has been able to:

• Purchase 35 books for our school library AND 47 books for classroom libraries
• Fund field trips to Plimouth Plantation, Tougas Farms, and more
• Sponsor in-school enrichment programs including Urbanity Dance, with more to come
• Hold community events like the Fun Run and Halloween Party
• Provide teachers with a range of classroom supplies to enable interactive and enriching lessons
• Support Juan Domingo en Accion, a school in Puerto Rico, by funding care packages of food, hygiene items and other necessities for students and families impacted by Hurricane Maria

Our teachers have many more field trips, enrichment programs, and innovative classroom projects planned for the second half of the year.  Please consider making a gift, of any size, to the Cunniff PTO today.Your generosity will help ensure that we can continue to provide our students with these important educational opportunities. A medida que nos acercamos a las vacaciones de invierno, estamos muy agradecidos por tener a la maravillosa comunidad de Cunniff. Gracias al apoyo de las familias como la suya, en lo que va de año la PTO (Organización de Padres y Maestros) ha sido capaz de:

• Comprar 35 libros para la biblioteca de la escuela y 47 libros para bibliotecas de aula
• Financiar viajes a la Plantación de Plymouth, Tougas Farms, y más
• Patrocinar programas de enriquecimiento dentro de la escuela, incluyendo Urbanity Dance , con más por venir
• Organizar eventos comunitarios como la carrera Fun Run y la Fiesta de Halloween
• Proporcionar a los maestros con una gama de materiales de clase para permitir lecciones interactivas y enriquecedoras
• Apoyar a Juan Domingo en Acción, una escuela en Puerto Rico, mediante la financiación de paquetes de alimentos, artículos de higiene y otros artículos de primera necesidad para los estudiantes y familias afectadas por el huracán María

Nuestros maestros tienen muchas más salidas de campo, programas de enriquecimiento y proyectos de aula innovadores planeados para la segunda mitad del año. Last week was World Soil Day - ‘Caring for the Planet starts from the Ground’ Soil is the upper layer of earth, a mixture of organic and inorganic matter, in which plants grow. So many lessons on life chemistry, water and erosion, rocks, compost food webs, so much more, come through our experience with soil. But funds for soil improvement materials and soil testing for our gardens are not yet in our school budget.

Please help your school gardens to have healthier soil to grow healthier, more knowledgeable students. This is just one example of how our SeedMoney funds will be used,  there are many more. To learn more and to donate go to our campaign please visit:
